Writer, Researcher Uday Nath Sahoo Finds Place In India Book Of Records

Notable Odia writer and educationist Prof Udaya Nath Sahoo has won a place in the prestigious India Book of Records 2022 in recognition of his unique comparative study of two great epics, Mahabharat and Srimad Bhagabat in three Indian languages. The research work and comparative study of the two Indian epics undertaken by Sahoo in three languages of Odia, Bengali and Asamese has been adjudged as a unique record by the India Book of Records.

Currently Sarala Das Chair Professor at the Center of Indian Languages in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, Sahoo is considered the first Odia litterateur to receive the prestigious recognition.

Sahoo said he has received a memento and citation from the headquarters of the Book of Records in Vietnam for the outstanding research work. The India Book of Records has an impeccable record of certifying and honoring excellence.

Author of over 16 books, Prof Sahoo has won a host of Indian and international awards for his significant contribution in the field of literature and research. He has vast experience in conducting research and deep study of Mahabharat and Bhagabat in Odia, Bengali and Assamese.
