UDRA Charitable Trust Organises ‘Thile Dia, Na Thile Nia’ Initiative In Bhubaneswar Slum
Udra Charitable Trust organized distribution and collection of winter clothes at Birsha Munda slum in Sahid Nagar on Thursday. All the families of the slum area were provided with winter clothes including quilts.
The event was organised by drawing inspiration from the unique concept of ‘Thile Dia, Na Thile Nia’ (Give if you have, take if you do not) of prominent leader and social worker Mayadhar Nayak. The objective of the event is to spread smiles across the faces of those who don’t have proper winter clothes. The Udra Charitable Trust is requesting all to participate in this noble initiative.
The trust has been relentlessly providing winter clothes to the slum residents for the last few years. “The amazing response to the concept has made us carry on this drive throughout the year,” said Consultant of the trust and Mo College Abhijan Chairperson Akash Dasnayak.
The distribution of winter clothes and collection of new clothes will continue at places like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Puri, Paradip, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Hyderabad by Udra members.
During the event MLA of Bhubaneswar Central Anant Narayan Jena, Mayor Sulochana Das and Odisha Mo Parivar Convenor Arup Pattnaik were present as guests.
Apart from Akash Dasnayak, Secretary and Treasurer of the trust Subrajyoti Dasnayak, cine stars Samaresh Routray, Bulu and actress Poonam Mishra were also present at the event.
