Traffic Advisory Issued for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Bhubaneswar
The Commissionerate Police has announced traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar during the three-day Pravasi Bharatiya Divas event starting Wednesday. Key roads will be closed at specific times to ensure smooth movement, especially in view of PM Narendra Modi’s visit.
Traffic Restrictions:
Wednesday, January 10
- 7:50 PM to 8:20 PM: Traffic restricted from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Raj Bhavan via Capital Hospital and AG Square.
Thursday, January 11
- 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM: Restrictions between Raj Bhavan and Nalco Square via Power House Square, 120 Battalion, Shastri Nagar, Behera Sahi, Jaydev Vihar, and Xavier Square.
- 11:20 AM to 12:00 PM: No vehicular movement from Nalco Square to BPIA via Xavier Square and other key stretches.
- 4:20 PM to 4:50 PM: Restricted movement from BPIA to Raj Bhavan.
Friday, January 12
- 11:20 AM to 11:50 AM: Raj Bhavan to Nalco Square stretch closed for commuters.
- 4:50 PM to 5:25 PM: Traffic banned between Nalco Square and BPIA.
Key Instructions:
- All vehicles, including those in connecting lanes and bylanes, are prohibited during the specified timings.
- Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
