The ‘Sound’ Of Love: Sabnam and Idhaya
Of all the relationships a woman values, the most powerful is the one with her daughter. For renowned RJ of the city Sabnam Sirin, the bond with her daughter Idhaya is the most prized and irreplaceable. Sharing her motherhood journey, she says, “I used to dread motherhood as it was a huge responsibility. But when Idhaya came to my life, this perception changed. The moment I held her in my lap, I thought I was carrying an angel. I would say at that very moment, I took birth as a mother.”
The RJ says being a mother is a continuous process. “The more time I spend with her, our bond grows stronger. She is such an understanding girl and now she is able to take care of me. With Idhaya, God has not only blessed me with a daughter but also has given me my best friend for lifetime,” she says proudly.
About her memorable moments, Sabnam says, “Each and every moment right from her birth till now is memorable for me. I can clearly remember the first time she called me ‘Ammi’, the first time she wore a saree and the first time she wore the lipstick. All these are lifetime memories for me.”
For Idhaya, her mother is a magician. “She creates magic when she dons her multiple ‘Avatars’. She cooks for me like a master chef, she helps me with my studies like a real teacher and when she goes to office, she becomes highly professional. It amazes me to see her playing different characters in a day successfully. She is my role model. I want to be like my mother.”
