SOA University Prof L B Sukla Wins Prestigious VDGOOD Award
The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University has been a fertile ground for scientific minds who believe in creating new paths in various fields of science and technology. Numerous professors and researchers of the university have been recognised and honoured around the world for their path breaking work in their respective disciplines.
Prof. L.B.Sukla, a highly acclaimed research professor at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) has been honoured with the VDGOOD International Scientist Award for 2021 in the field of engineering, science and medicine. VDGOOD has been working towards finding new innovations to make life easier in all aspects.
Prof. Sukla, who is presently a Research Professor at SOA and the Director of the Biofuels and Bioprocessing Research Centre run by SOA, has been chosen for the Distinguished Scientist Award.

VDGOOD Scientist Awards 2021 encourages and recognizes the accomplishments of project management professionals and organizations around the world.
Prof. Sukla was named in the list of world’s top two percent scientists drawn up by Stanford University last year. He was also honoured with the Global Teaching Excellence Award recently.
With about 45 years of experience in research in the field of Biomineral Processing, Prof. Sukla earlier headed the Bioresources Engineering Department of CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar and also served as Emeritus Scientist, CSIR and Emeritus Professor, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi.
