Sabyasachi Mishra & Pranab Patnaik To Be Felicitated At The “MGMRL Shantanu Jayanti-2021”

On the occasion of Shantanu Jayanti, the best young talents along with the top musicians and performers of Odisha shall present the best compositions of the legendary Shantanu Mohapatra. On the 22nd November 2021 at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar at 6 PM.

During a press meet at a hotel in the capital city on 16th November, the Chairman of ‘Shantanu Mohapatra Foundation’, Koushik Mohapatra and Managing Trustee of MGMRL Foundation, Tanuj Mohanty made the announcement about the event.

Koushik, who is also the eldest son of Mohapatra told My City Links, “Along with the musical program, we will be presenting two awards to eminent personalities. Eminent playback singer Pranab Kishore Patnaik will be honoured with first ‘The Shantanu Samman-2021’ and popular Ollywood actor and social activist, Sabyasachi Mishra will be receiving the MGMRL Excellence Award-2021.”

Shantanu Mohapatra was a multi-faceted personality who has shown his talent both as a singer and music director. He has scored the music of many Odia, Bengali and Hindi feature films which won both regional and national awards. He also joined the State Directorate of Mining and Geology Government of Odisha in June, 1957 as a Geologist from which he later retired as the Director (Mining & Geology) in 1994.
