Sabyasachi Is A Real-Life Hero, Brings Stranded Students Back Home

In reel life, an actor often gets to play the role of this good man who helps people like a messiah and becomes an inspiration for one and all. But Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra has turned out to be a role model in real life as well.

The actor recently helped 80 Odia students come back to their native places, from Central Sanskrit University, Rajasthan. The reel hero turned out to be a real hero for the stranded students.

The actor has been known to lend a helping hand to many people during this lockdown and before it as well. A girl from Cuttack, who is a student of the Central Sanskrit University contacted him for help through Twitter and he promptly started a rescue mission for the students.

Sabyasachi talked to My City Links and said, “They were a total of 80 students. Initially, I thought it may not be possible for me to do much. But I called them up and assured them that all help will be provided. I also told them that I will keep trying to bring them back home. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and help from the government officials like Gyanaranjan Mohapatra, within nine days, everything was arranged and we managed to bring them home.”

According to the actor, social media is the medium which made this effort possible. Celebrities use these platforms mostly to promote their films and stay connected with their audience. He said, “Because people trust us so much, when lockdown started, I got messages from people from across the state and even different parts of the country requesting through my social media handles to solve their various problems. I felt like I just cannot break this trust and love that they have given me. I tried to do my best to solve as many problems as I could. As a result, I started getting more requests from people.”

“I remember one serious case from the initial days of the lockdown. A girl named Dharitri, who was in Mumbai, requested me to get permission to shift her mother to a private cancer hospital from where she was being treated. With the support of DCP Traffic Sagarika Nath and Kodala P.S, Ganjam we successfully shifted her to a cancer hospital here, and now she is fine.” he mentioned.

We at My City Links appreciate such helping gestures and continuous effort by the star and wish him more success in helping people.
