Singing Sensation Rituraj In ‘Bengal Tigers’ Team for ‘Indian Pro Music League’ On ZEE TV
While India gets ready to welcome it’s first-ever music league with the ‘Indian Pro Music League’ (IPML) this February on ZEE TV and ZEE5, Odisha’s Rituraj Mohanty is owned by team ‘Bengal Tigers’ along with singers Shaan and Akriti Kakkar. The anthem of the show was released last month, where you can watch Rituraj’s moves along with his team mates.
IPML is a music battle between 6 teams and 18 established playback singers of Bollywood. The other 5 teams are ‘UP Dabbangs’ – Ankit Tiwari, Payal Dev, Salman Ali, ‘Gujrat Rockers’ – Javed Ali, Bhoomi Trivedi, Hemant Brijwasi, ‘Mumbai Warriors’ – Kailash Kher, Shilpa Rao, Purva Mantri, ‘Delhi Dhurrandhars’ – Sajid, Neha Bhasin, Ankush Bhardwaj and ‘Punjab Lions’ – Mika Singh, Asees Kaur, Rupali Jagga.
Excited about being a part of the first music league Rituraj told My City Links, “I feel special to be amongst those 18 established playback singers. This show is going to be very different. The music battle is going to be fierce and tough since everyone is supremely talented. To all my fans, just wait and watch and keep supporting. Much love from me.”
While actors Karan Wahi and Waluscha De Sousa will host the show, the six teams are being supported by celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor, Govinda, Rajkummar Rao, Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia, Bobby Deol, and Suresh Raina while Asees Kaur, Mika, Akriti Kakar, Shaan, Neha Bhasin, Sajid Wajid, Shilpa Rao, Kailash Kher, Bhoomi Trivedi, Javed Ali, Payal Dev, and Ankit Tiwari have been roped in as team captains. Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan is also seen as the Brand Ambassador of the show produced by Fathom Pictures.
During one of his recent interactions with the media, Salman said, “We have all been hooked on to sports leagues for the sheer excitement and competitive spirit of the format, but kudos to ZEE TV for coming up with a music league that infuses the energy of sports into the world of music reality television. It is also the first time that big film and sports celebs are backing teams led by 12 of Bollywood’s top playback singers, reality stars and 6 fresh voices that will battle out a musical championship, representing different states of our country. With so much excitement and novelty going for the show, it looks like this music league is in a league of its own.”
Music of Rituraj’s upcoming Bollywood film ‘Aadhaar’ was released on Thursday. The film is all set to release soon.
