Papu Pam Pam’s ‘Chirkut’ To Be Screened Free Of Cost

Papu Pam Pam fans have a reason to cheer. During the Official Audio release of his upcoming film ‘Chirkut’, held on March 7, the actor turned director announced that the first day of the film’s release will be free all over the state, whatever be the number of the halls in which it will be screened. Chirkut is releasing on April 14. This is probably the first time in the history of Odia cinema that an Odia film will be screened free of cost for a day.

 Papu said, “I am fortunate to have been cured and returned back to life from near death. And I believe all this happened because of the love and support I got from my fans and well wishers. So I requested Producer Akshaya Parija and he agreed to let me go ahead with this.”

Papu is the music director of Chirkut and worked with singers Asima Panda, Antara Chakraborty, Bishnu Mohan Kabi. About the songs and audio release, Papu said, “I have experimented with different genres for this film. There are 6 songs in total including one classical, one 90s melody, one Kawali and one item number in typical ‘Odia Kandana’ (Odia village women’s crying) style.” The lyrics have been written by Deepak Jena, Suresh Panda and Sumit Jena while Lubun and Tubun have choreographed all the songs in this film. On the occasion of the audio launch, they thanked Parija and Papu for giving them the chance.

Chirkut will also make the debut of  two new comers Aurojit and Ananya in lead roles and is all set to release on the occasion of Pana Sankranti this year. The story of the film revolves around a news paper boy and his love story.
