Odisha’s Budding Writer Bags National-level Award

In a proud moment for Odisha, Sambardhana Dikshit, a Plus-III final year student of English Literature in Samanta Chandra Sekhar Autonomous College, Puri, has bagged a national level award for her writing.

Sambardhana was awarded with the Best Writer Of The Year 2021 by the Chennai-based organisation, Kalam’s World Record. She has received a citation and medal as part of the award.

Kalam’s World Record, is an organisation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The award was organized for different categories of talents like for artists, writers, social activists, achievers of different world records, singers, dancers, entrepreneurs and so on.

Kalam’s World Records- A Book of Legend published its first edition in 2018. It documents the unique talent individuals or groups from different countries and there by setting a benchmark for the achievements in every field accomplishment.

Sambardhana is a resident of Markendaswar Sahi in Puri. She completed her Plus-II from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Her writings have been published in many magazines including ‘Taare Zameen Par’. Her write-ups in Odia, Hindi and English on different topics have received accolades.

A vivacious reader, her life’s mantra is “Let’s speak through the world of pen and paper).” The eldest daughter of retired Airforce officer Sangram Keshari Dikshit and Smruti Rekha Mishra, Sambardhana now aims to join the Indian Administrative Service. She credits her success to her parents for the motivation and encouragement.

“I am an IAS aspirant. So my main focus is to serve my country. Writing is my passion so I will continue with it to always lighten up my mood,” she signs off.
