Odisha Queen 2019 Says Modelling a Confidence-Booster
Young girls have taken the glamorous world of fashion by storm and are grabbing all the eyeballs with their oomph and style. MyCityLinks gets in touch with one such lass Ananya Acharya, who was recently crowned Odisha Queen 2019 held in Bhubaneswar.
Born and brought up in Cuttack, Ananya always dreamed of choosing an unconventional path. Since childhood, she was attracted to the world of fashion and a girl who was very particular when it came to achieving her goals.
Speaking to MCL, Ananya says, “Last year, I represented Odisha in Miss Teen India but unfortunately couldn’t make it to the top. Then, I decided not to take part in any pageants but as they say, destiny has something else in store for us and that is when the auditions for Odisha Queen 2019 happened. Initially, I was a bit reluctant regarding my participation but then I thought to take a chance. It was a surreal experience when I was crowned as Odisha Queen by none other than Zareen Khan.”
Describing her journey from auditions to the grand finale, she informs, “It was really beautiful as I got to learn and interact with such eminent personalities. I will always be grateful to RR Events for giving me such a wonderful platform to showcase my talent. I would also like to thank the whole crew of Odisha Queen, especially Santanu Kumar Sia Sir for being so supportive and sweet during the whole journey. He used to guide us at each and every step without losing his calm.”
The winner of Odisha Queen 2019 title is a big fan of Priyanka Chopra as she is the only actress who has been shining bright in every role she has donned.
Ananya is all praise for designer Zaheeda Ahmed. She says, “The outfits for the finale were provided by Zaheeda mam and they were so beautiful and pretty that we actually felt like Queens.”
Apart from her family, friends, and teachers, Ananya thanked her best buddy Neha who has always motivated her in pursuing this career. She also expressed her gratefulness to BTS, a Korean boy band that helped her follow her dreams and not to give up at any point in life.
But how does the teenager manage to devote time to studies with such a hectic schedule? Ananya explains, “I devote equal time to my studies and passion as both are very important. During Odisha Queen 2019, when we were having our grooming sessions, I had downloaded all my course-related materials in PDF format; whenever I found some free time I took out my phone and start making notes. I always try to strike a balance between the different activities that I am involved in.”
Ananya’s parents are proud of their daughter’s achievements as whatever she has achieved is solely due to her hard work and strong determination.
