Odia Trio Promote Art And Culture

For the founders of DPR Artlife, promoting Indian handloom is what drove them to commence their entrepreneurship focusing on the handmade products that reflect the rich heritage and culture of Odisha.

The trio, Debi Prasad Rout, Lipsha Das, and Dhiren Samal, collaborated with artisans from the capital city of Odisha, who mastered the art of pattachitra, and started creating products, mini dolls, hand-painted plates as wall decor, boxes resplendent with colorful motifs, tissue boxes, coasters and so much more.

Their products are adept with miniature creations highlighting Odia handloom and culture. On the occasion of Utkal Diwas, last year, they had come up with coasters, dolls, boxes, wall decor, trays and such products showcasing the various colours and hues of Odisha. From western Odisha to tribal Odisha, giving importance to all, is their medium of work.

Lipsha Das, the co-founder of DPR Artlife said, “We aim at bringing the handloom industry in Odisha to a global level. Our customers range from both within and outside the State, which is a very proud moment for all of us. Enhancing the beauty and art of our state gives immense pleasure. I hope the culture of Odisha is brought into the limelight and provoked to realize the true beauty that lies in it.”
