My Bhubaneswar Campaigns For Freedom From COVID-19

In a unique celebration of Independence Day, My Bhubaneswar has organised a campaign asking people to “get freedom” from the deadly coronavirus by following the guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Odisha government.

My Bhubaneswar has asked people to wear masks properly by covering their noses and mouths, use sanitizers regularly and wash hands frequently and maintain physical distance when outside. Also, the social media group has urged people to stay in their houses as much as possible and only venture out when necessary.

My Bhubaneswar believes that although it is not very easy to get rid of the coronavirus, giving up is not an option. We must give our best to save ourselves and those around us,” the group said, posting about the initiative.

As part of the campaign, it has invited social media influencers, bloggers and celebrities to participate and spread awareness regarding the cause that can save many lives.

At a time when the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha has crossed the 54,000 marks and 324 lives lost to the deadly virus, it becomes imperative for the masses to follow the guidelines.

The virus has taken a severe toll on the economy of the state as well and if people follow the guidelines, the recovery can be faster. This is the second awareness campaign regarding COVID-19 from the social media handle.

Earlier, it had created an awareness campaign for Raksha Bandhan, urging people to protect each other by following the COVID-19 guidelines.
