K9 Love Celebrates Human-Pet Bond On Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s day has evolved from being a day of celebration of love between humans to a celebration of love in general. 93.5 RED FM organized an event called ‘K9 Love’ at Esplanade One Mall on 14th February 2021 which was a first of its kind event to be organized in Bhubaneswar. K9 Love was about showcasing the human-pet bond built on love and trust. 20 dog parents became part of the event with their ‘buddies’, making each of these pairs a K9 duo. The event consisted of a ramp walk competition where the K9 parents walked the ramp with their K9 buddies, and the top three were felicitated with trophies. Some of the K9 participants showcased amazing obedience acts.

The event was well put up, with all necessary safety measures in place. All the participants were given individual resting areas. The competition was judged by Subrat Ranjan Prusty, Secretary, Odisha Kennel Club, and monitored by noted Dog Behaviorist Brijesh Dash.

K9 Love intended to make people feel more empathetic and drawn towards all animals. The success of the event has encouraged the organizers to put up more such events in the future.

Red FM Station head (Odisha), Manas Pattanayak, said, ” Valentine’s day is the day of love so Red FM decided to do something to celebrate unconditional love. We came up with the K9 Love activity to show the bond between humans and their best friend, the dog. We had a fantastic ramp walk show with the duos. The participants shared stories about their journey with their pets. The overall experience was great, and we plan on conducting more such events.”
