Inoculation of Phase 2 Covaxin Takes off in Odisha
With the commencement of the second phase of Covid-19 vaccination today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was inoculated with the Covaxin around 11 a.m. at Odisha Assembly Dispensary.
Over 60 people are expected to be covered in this phase. People above the age of 45 years who have illnesses will be eligible for the vaccine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also got vaccinated today at AIIMS, New Delhi. With the involvement of such public figures, it is expected of people to get rid of the apprehensions behind the vaccine and come out voluntarily.
The online registration for receiving the first dose of the vaccine by beneficiaries is open on www.cowin.gov.in and Aarogya Setu app since 9 a.m. today. About 30 crore people are expected to be vaccinated by August in this phase.
