“Hrudaya Ra Chari Kantha”- Another Experiment In The Odia Music Video Industry

While the advertising industry has evolved a lot over the past 10-15 years, smarter ads are coming out these days with new ways to entice customers. There may be hardly anyone who has not watched the Flipkart ads where children act as adults. One of the finest and emerging directors of the Odia entertainment industry, Raja D, has experimented again in his new music video “Hrudaya Ra Chari Kantha”. He has smartly featured children playing adults in the video.

Ollywood superstar Babushan has rendered his voice for the hero of the musical short story- Swosti. Ayesha Asad, daughter of music director Asad Nizam has been featured as the lead heroine opposite Swosti. The video also has Zee Sarthak’s Dramebaz fame Udaya as the villain. Including these three kids there are 40 children in this video. They are of the ages between 6-12 years.

Children Attending A Preparatory Workshop

Actor Pintu Nanda and Bunty R Samal have also rendered their voices for various other characters in the video. Taking inspiration from the flipkart ad, Raja said to My City Links, “I have always wished to do something with children and finally it’s out now. We have done several workshops for expressions, acting and dance. The workshops were conducted for more than a month with all the child actors. We have shot at a few places in Cuttack and ODM public school.”

“From the very beginning I have created Swosti’s character keeping in mind Babushan. Thankfully after listening to the song and concept he agreed to lend his voice. The crew was very big as it also included the parents of the 40 kids. We have used some miniature things like bikes. The fight sequence was a challenge to do with the kids. Sailendra and Himagni were the assistant directors of this project,” concluded the director.
