People born in the  1980s’ and 90s’ know the love for monthly digests and comics. The fascination was intact till the end of the first decade of the 21st century. So, walking down the memory lane, MyCityLinks brings back that nostalgia of your favourite magazines.

Champak

Champak can easily be pronounced as one of the most popular children’s magazines and it still continues to be. Founded in 1969, Champak is available in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Champak took us into a world of animals who behaved like humans. The stories gave us moral lessons by tickling our funny bones. Chiku Rabbit is one of the most memorable characters of Champak.

Chandamama

After the demise of its illustrator Shankar, Chandamama has become a topic of discussion after many years again. This magazine came in eleven different languages including Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Assamese, Hindi and English. From Vikram Betal stories to general knowledge to vibrant artworks, Chandamama proved to be our go-to storehouse. It had its last issue printed in 2013.

Wisdom

This bi-monthly digest made us fall in love with general knowledge, news and information. Wisdom’s cover page was one of its main attractions which featured pictures of kids. Interestingly, kids who used to read Wisdom were regarded as more intelligent.

Tinkle

We all used to wait for Tinkle at the beginning of every month to solve the puzzles and answer the quizzes. This colourful comic used to leave us in wonder with all its fascinating stories. It started in 1980 and is available in four languages mainly, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Assamese. The book is popular for its characters Suppandi and Shikari Shambu.
