Comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath Marries Actress Sulagna Panigrahi

Popular Odia standup comic, writer and Youtuber Biswa Kalyan Rath best known for his sarcastic standup sketches and the YouTube series ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’ has married telly and film actor Sulagna Panigrahi. The couple took to Instagram to share photos from their wedding ceremony. Sharing a couple of their wedding pictures on Instagram, Biswa wrote, “Biswa Married Aadmi” in his characteristic nonchalant style. 

Sulagna also shared some glimpse of their wedding while sharing a couple of pictures.

The couple tied the knot in a close ceremony in Bhubaneswar on December 9. Biswa is a popular name in the comedy circuit along with writing popular shows like Laakhon Mein Ek. He was also a judge in Comicstaan Season 1 and 2.  Sulagna Panigrahi has worked in many telly soaps and films. She rose to fame with her role in Amber Dhara and ‘Do Saheliyaan’ and later made her Bollywood debut with the psychological thriller Murder 2 alongside Emraan Hashmi. later acted in the Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Raid’. She started her web series career with ‘Afsos’ on Amazon Prime Video.

Sulagna and Biswa’s wedding announcement took their fans by surprise as the duo hadn’t shared any pictures with each other on social media earlier or were ever seen publicly together before this. 

Biswa graduated in Biotechnology from IIT Kharagpur in 2012 and worked in graphic designing, advertising and software. During this time he met Kanan Gill in Bengaluru at an open-mic event and together they started the hilarious series ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’ which was their claim to fame. In 2014 he quit his job in Oracle to become a full time comedian.
