Archita leaves fans surprised with new look for ‘Roll No 27 – Sujata Senapati’

Shedding her glamorous role for the first time, Ollywood’s ‘Champion’ girl Archita Sahu will be seen in a dusky avatar in her upcoming movie ‘Roll No 27 – Sujata Senapati’. The actress posted a picture of her new look on her social media handles on Wednesday, taking her fans by surprise. Made under the banner of Zee Sarthak, the movie is being directed by Ashok Pati.

The film is about the story of a poor girl who doesn’t have the privilege to study. But finally, she manages to get an opportunity to pursue her studies. When asked about the new look, Archita said, “I wanted to live the character and hence, this look has been designed to justify it. Thanks to senior makeup artist Kapil da who has done a good job to make it look very real. I am trying hard to get a hold of the body language and expressions of the character. As we want to keep it natural, I am wearing even old Saris.”

Ashok said he is happy to get the scope of doing experimental films. “Since we are making films for satellite release these days, it is giving us the opportunity to experiment. Earlier, we were not allowed do so in the big screen due to various commercial factors associated with it,” he informed.

The renowned director further said, “There are various social issues around us and solutions for it too. Through these kinds of films, we wish to convey good messages to the society besides entertaining people. Archita is a very good actor and she is working hard for the film. I am happy that people are appreciating the first look of the movie. We are planning to release it in March this year.” 

Ashok’s latest satellite film ‘Paapa’ starring Elina Samantaray was released recently.
