Married to one of the renowned music composers of Bollywood, she has devoted her life to music. Sona’s unperturbed sense of music and husky voice has earned her national and international fan following.
2. Ananya Sritam Nanda
This Indian Idol winner hails from Odisha and epitomizes dedication from a very young age of 14. A favourite of the judges for her ‘Rockstar’ performances on the stage, Ananya’s epic moment was when she got to meet Narendra Modi personally once she was back from the show. Besides a host of other prizes, Ananya also bagged an exclusive contract with Universal Music Group for live shows.
3. Sniti Mishra
She is another vibrating young lady from Bolangir, who started off her singing pursuits from the national singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Sniti has time and again proved her mettle in various genres of Indian classical music, Sufi, Folk songs etc. Enthralling the audience with her breathtaking performances at both the regional and national stage, she even recorded her song, Hori Hori at Yash Raj studio. Sniti has learned jazz from American saxophonist Dallas Smith and performed with him in various concerts. Infact she has even collaborated with musicians like Sivamani, jazz exponent Louis Banks and Indian band Mynta for concerts across the globe.
4. Rituraj Mohanty
He hogged all the limelight as soon as he won the reality show India’s Rawstar. With his mystic voice and humble nature, Rituraj has carved a niche for himself in the musical fraternity of Bollywood. Infact, his song Maula has set a benchmark for the next generation of singers to follow. With Ram Sampath & Himesh Reshamiya being his close mentors, Rituraj even got to voice for many Bollywood movies like Bangistan, Bhootnath Returns etc.
5. Krishna Beura
The energetic lad all the way from Banki has taken Odisha’s pride to soaring heights with his soulful voice and melodious numbers. This versatile singer has churned out hits like Maula Mere (Chak De), Aapki Kashish (Ashiq Banaya Apne), Soniyo (Raaz-2), Main Jahaan Bhi Rahoon (Namastey London) etc. and continues to be one of the favourites of the musical fraternity of Bollywood. Interestingly, Krishna is often adored for his style of singing that resembles Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his mastery in Sufi Singing.
