It’s yet another chance for the Odias to rejoice and celebrate their heritage, cuisine and culture as the Odia Samaj in Delhi gears up for the Odisha Parba 2017 to mark the Odia New Year. Following the footsteps of Bharat Parba which was held in January 2017, this three day grand affair is slated to happen from April 29 to May 1.

This epic event will portray a gamut of beautiful characteristics that have made Odisha stand among the best. There will be enthralling music and dance, showcase of rich arts, and authentic foods of Odisha that will let people take a real feel of this beautifully varied state!

The cultural fiesta is scheduled into a perfect agenda spanning over three days and will unfold exhibitions, food courts,  handloom and handicraft haat besides a live stage that will keep the audience thoroughly engaged for a memorable  experience.

Visitors should definitely look forward to the massive replica of the chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath standing as high as 52 feet just near the entrance of the Gate. This cultural extravaganza will see glamorous dance performances of Odissi, Sambalpuri, Gotipua and Mayurbhanj Chhau. That apart, the renowned Prince Dance Group and Jitendriya Haripal have also been roped in.
One will even get to witness and marvel at the beauty of Odisha’s Pattachitra, stone sculpting, weaving of Sambalpuri Sarees and others besides the exquisite sand art by Internationally acclaimed sand artist, Padmashree Sudarsan Pattnaik. For the food and flavours section in this event, typical Odia cuisine will be something to look forward to. Relishing food items not to be missed are Raghu Dahibara, Dilbahar Lassi, Kendrapada Rasabali, Odia Thali and many others.

There will also be screening of films which will showcase Odisha’s spectacular aspects. To capture the entire essence as well as stock up some real good memories, there will be three selfie spots with amazing backdrops of Raghurajpur, Olive Ridley turtles and also of the famous Bagha Nacha!
