New Odia Serial ‘Tara Tarini’ Starting From Tonight

The Odia entertainment industry has progressed by leaps and bounds in the last decade with better technology and storylines coming into the scenario. However, more than cinema, it is the Odia television industry which has undergone a significant development. It has, as a result, gathered a larger audience and is more popular than movies. Channels like Tarang TV and Zee Sarthak (popularly known as Sarthak TV) have also stepped up the competition in the market.

The growing popularity of regional teleserials, notwithstanding, majority of the serials still swear by old formulaic plots, the most common being that of characters playing double role! Keeping that in mind, Tarang has come up with a new serial ‘Tara Tarini’ which encashes on the old tried plot of the female lead appearing in double role. However, the trailer looks promising enough to deliver fresh content.

To be aired this evening at 9 p.m. on Tarang TV, ‘Tara Tarini’ will see actor Lipi in two avatars. Going by the looks of both the characters, Tara seems to be of a bolder character than the comparatively innocent and trusting Tarini. However, it is still not clear from promos if Tara and Tarini are two different persons or the different sides of the same person.

The serial will also see actor Suman, a popular album artist, playing the lead character called ‘Rupam’ opposite Lipi.

The daily soap, which will be aired from Monday to Friday at 9 pm, will replace the recently concluded serial drama ‘Sankha Sindura’. While the audience is excited about the new serial, the production team is hoping it would receive a good response.
