Bocca Cafe Celebrates Halloween The ‘Spook-tacular’ Way!

With the trend of Halloween parties catching up in India, Bhubaneswar can’t be far behind. Though a few hotels and restaurants have been organising Halloween themed parties on October 31 for the last few years, this year Bhubaneswar’s most sought after restaurant Bocca Café hosted Halloween themed ‘Trick-or-Treat’ party for the kids visiting the café.

From bats and witches cut out in paper to monster-faced pumpkins, dim lights and other spooky bric-brac, the entire ambience at Bocca looked spook-tacular!

Bakul Foundation volunteers in association with My City Links together arranged for Halloween related craft activities, games including lucky dips and loads of fun for the children and their happy faces said it all!

Talking to MCL, Soumya Mishra, who had come with both her kids said, “I loved the experience and my kids too had a wonderful time. The Halloween theme was a great idea and one could experience the real feel of Halloween thanks to the decorations, from the monster-faced pumpkins to the bats and witches! The food was great and the best part was that there were so many activities planned for the kids, from hand-painting to story-telling sessions. It’s good to know that such parties are being organised in Bhubaneswar.”

While the café has already become popular among its customers for its unique menu, the special preparations that had been laid out for Halloween were also an instant hit. From Panna Cotta to Sangria, Spaghetti Meatballs, Lamb Steak and Deviled Eggs, the customers had a good time relishing the variety.

Sweta Mohanty, who was present during the event said, “I so loved the food, an interesting menu, I must say. And, I have to mention that I simply loved the ambience of the café and also the décor that was done for the Halloween party. Halloween is a part of western culture and I had never thought that such a party could be organised in such a lovely café in the city.

Similarly, another customer Sonali shared, “The event was great with so many activities for the cute little kids. I think the ambience of the café is super. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends. I loved what I ordered and I am looking forward to more such events at the café in future,” she added.
