Odisha’s homegrown band Vighnanz has made it to the top of music charts again with its recently launched single music video ‘Toh Bina'. Based on love at first sight, the track has set a record by garnering over two lakh views in a span of 36 hours. The team was recently spotted at BOCCA Café, Master Canteen, celebrating the album’s success.

Produced under the banner of Basudev Films, Prelude Production and Vighnanz - The Band, the album was released by Amara Muzikand has been directed by video director Basudev Dalai, who is also the DOP.

“Toh Bina is a simple day to day love story that happens on terraces and alleys of Cuttack. We have tried to show the sweet, regular love story of a teen couple. It speaks of all the emotions of impulse, annoyance, ignorance, cuteness, shyness and innocence that comes with love at tender age,” says director Dalai.

Lyricist S K Jabid Ali’s words have rendered soulfulness to the romantic track composed by “Vighnanz - The Band” and “Nabs & Saroj”. Anurag Das is the cinematographer for the video.

Vighnanz’s lead singer Durga who has sung the track said,“Coming up with new ideas and giving something very ‘hatke’ to my viewers was my goal. Therefore, I have given my best to bring out something different and are hoping that people will love it. We have tried to move away from the glamorous cult and have brought out love that exists in normal couples.”

Speaking to MCL, actor Raj Rajesh said, “It has been a wonderful experience to work with Prelude Productions, Amara Muzik and Vighnanz. But more than that, I am really happy to be working with Sradha after a long time. My association with her goes back to the reality show Mitha Mitha Jodi. We, then, went on to become co-stars in our debut film also titled Mitha Mitha. However, after that we had been starring in different teleserials. We had never thought that we would get back together for this music video.”

Even co-actor Sradha shared Raj’s thoughts saying that it was a great learning for her apart from having a superb time during the shoot of the video.

Dharitri Moharana, PR Manager of Amara Muzik, said, “Toh Bina is a trigger for good music in the Odia music industry which still doesn’t experiment with the kind of music it produces. This video is a perfect example of a blend of the art of filmmaking, good music and cinematography. Our initiative of promoting good content can be seen with music videos like this.”

“We have tried to set some new standards in Ollywood and are happy that we have succeeded in doing so. I think we can bring a revolution in Ollywood album industry and can create a new trend, and we have done it quite well with 3 musical singles,” said Satyabrat Sanu Ratho, Director Prelude Productions. He added saying that they would soon be coming up with something different for entertainment industry in collaboration with Amara Muzik and others.
